Doctorum

Other Services

Doctorum is expanding its services to fully embrace the extensive future requirements of NHS reporting.  The Company is doctor-led and specialises in providing genuine specialist reporting of unreported NHS scans sitting on NHS backlog reporting lists, and second opinion specialist reports.  Following considerable investment in new IT and infrastructure, Doctorum plans to support NHS outsourced reporting with remote teleradiology reporting.

Elective work

Nearly 80% of clinical pathways to diagnosis of disease involves imaging. This is usually planned 'elective' work, but is of high volume, and needs considerable workforce planning.

Emergency Reporting

The provison of 24/7 reporting is a growing and essential part of daily practice and this requires a special commitment to ensure accurate and safe reporting. Some conditions like acute stroke need uber-prompt reporting and most on call complex scanning needs to be turned around within 45-60 minutes.

Backlog Reporting

One of the greatest challenges facing many NHS Trusts is the growing volume of unreported scans. Modern scanners are cutting through the huge and growing waiting lists following the Covid-19 pandemic, but the available specialist reporting workforce is very limited.

Subspecialist Reporting

For some studies, and not limited to oncological, molecular, musculoskeletal, neurological and interventional imaging, specialist reporting is mandatory and managing all this activity is simply not possible during conventional working hours. Doctorum is helping overcome this problem.

Supporting Independent Services Associated with the NHS

Doctorum as part of The Imaging Clinic and Incorporated Health Groups has been supporting NHS imaging within the independent sector for over 15 years. It will continue to do so offering services to independent sector facilities both on NHS sites and contractually associated sites such as standalone private hospitals and clinics.

Audit Reporting

An essential component of any 'bulk' radiology organisation is audit and Doctorum ensures full compliance with regular 'Discrepancy Meetings' to ensure continued learning and management of any perceived errors.
