Audit Reporting

Audit is an integral part of a modern day reporting service.  Doctorums’ experienced radiologists, cardiologists and reporting radiographers & sonographers participate fully in the company’s internal audit processes.  This includes engagement in discrepancy meetings and learning panels including cause for concern audits, as well as quality assurance processes.

Reporting Discrepancy Meetings

In modern day imaging practice, regular meetings to discuss discrepancies and errors are a part of usual best practice.  The aim is to ensure that repetitive errors are avoided and learning instituted where necessary, but also to ensure that more significant errors (of perception or interpretation) are identified and managed.

Pre-medicolegal Imaging Reviews

Medicolegal action is expensive, upsetting for patients and medical staff alike, and ‘no win-no fee’ is not always the case.  Much of it is dependent on a review of the medical imaging and pathology, and an early review of these can help assess the merit of a case at low cost.  Our consultant subspecialist radiologists report true and fair, without need for the existing report, and regardless of who reported previously, colleague or otherwise.

Independent Hospital Audit Reporting

Independent hospitals increasingly wish to audit a 10% sample of reports ensure accuracy and sustainability.  These are typically MRI reports as part of the BUPA Outpatient MRI tender, although Doctorum offers audit across the whole range of imaging modalities and organ systems.
